Vexve Oy (“Vexve”) has signed an agreement to acquire Denmark-based valve manufacturer Frese A/S (“Frese”) from the founding family. Established in 1944, Frese has become one of the leading manufacturers of high-quality dynamic balancing valves in Europe. Frese employs ca. 250 persons with headquarters and main production facilities located in Slagelse, Denmark.
Frese’s dynamic balancing valve offering enables improved energy efficiency in hydronic networks, for example, in non-residential buildings and district energy networks – positively contributing to European and global climate targets by reducing excess energy consumption related to heating and cooling. The complementary district energy offering will further strengthen Vexve’s globally leading position in district energy valves in key geographical regions, especially in Western Europe. Frese’s highly competitive production capabilities and product portfolio, together with its strong foothold in the Central European markets, will accelerate Vexve’s growth as the leading provider of mission-critical valve solutions in the transition to a low-carbon future. Vexve’s combined turnover after completion of the transaction will be ca. 200 million EUR.
”We are honoured to combine forces with Frese and its strong team. Frese is a well-known and respected brand in the growing balancing valves industry and will further improve our ability to offer industry-leading products and services to clients of the combined company. We are excited about the opportunities the new combination will provide”,
says Paul Gustavsson, CEO of Vexve.
”Combining forces with Vexve represents a unique cross-selling opportunity of complementary product portfolios and presence in adjacent markets with shared supporting trends. We see a highly positive outlook in the balancing valves market and are excited to be joining the Vexve family, enabling full support for continued growth of the strong Frese brand,”
says René Barington, CEO of Frese.
Completion of the transaction is conditional to the outcome of the formal FDI filing process in Denmark and expected to take place in Q1 2025.
